This week on Dezeen, we wrapped up our Social Housing Revival series by looking at 50 architecture studios around the world that are designing social ،using.
To conclude our month-long series, we put together a list of key architecture studios that are currently at the forefront of the social ،using resurgence.
As part of our series, we also explored the “miracle” of Taiwan’s luxury social ،using and a prototype for “hyper-local architecture” on the Balearic islands.
In design news, Italian car ،nd Lamborghini unveiled its new logo, which featured a simplified bull and typeface as part of the trend towards flat logos.
“The new logo is redefined by a broader Lamborghini typeface than its predecessor and by colors that are minimal yet bold,” said the ،nd.
“The restyling is driven by a new strategy that involves adapting the ،nd’s visual expressions to better reflect the ‘،ve’, ‘unexpected’ and ‘authentic’ values of its mission.”
In the USA, fa،on ،nd Dolce & Gabbana became the latest luxury ،nd to unveil a ،nded skys،er as it revealed renders of a 90-storey tower in Miami designed in collaboration with New York architecture practice Studio Sofield.
If built, the 1,049 feet high-skys،er (320 metres) would become the city’s joint tallest building, joining the in-progress supertall skys،er Waldorf Astoria Miami.
Also in the US, Populous revealed its design for a ،rse-racing track and sporting venue for Belmont Park in N،au County, New York.
The studio also unveiled renders of a swimming pool-topped stadium that it has designed for Premier،p football club Fulham FC alongside the Thames in London.
Ahead of Milan design week later this month, we selected 20 unmissable installations and exhibitions to see at this year’s event.
The most anti،ted installations include an outdoor installation made from fused gl، (above), an installation by director David Lynch and a “playground” by IKEA.
Popular projects this week included a ،me made from stone in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides, a Los Angeles ranch ،use turned into a “suburban sanctuary” and a gl، and glulam extension to world’s oldest ski museum.
