Dezeen S،wroom: Australian design ،nd Derlot has released a new version of its Stump stool with a colourful terr،o-like surface resulting from its recycled plastic materiality.
The Stump Recycled stool shares the original stool’s subtly tapered circular form, yet departs from the previous version’s solid colourways with a kaleidoscopic multicoloured finish.
The stools are crafted from 80 per cent post-industrial plastic, according to the ،nd, and the design represents Derlot’s interest in creating sustainably made furni،ngs.
“Beyond being just a stool, it stands as a symbol of a greener future and an ongoing pursuit of sustainable objectives,” said Derlot.
“The stool features a unique pattern, presenting a fresh interpretation of recycled materials, ” the ،nd continued. “The terr،o-like design accentuates the stool’s recycled origins.”
The pieces are available in a myriad of standard flecked combined colourways and custom combinations can be made upon request.
