Dutch studio MVRDV has unveiled a collection of stepped high-rises arranged around inner courtyards next to Qianhai Bay in Shenzhen, China.
These structures are set to be integral to a smart city initiative led by technology company Tencent.
This week’s newsletter also featured Heatherwick Studio’s first South America building, a transparent Fondation Louis Vuitton-informed watch designed by Frank Gehry and development firm Related Companies’ plans to expand the program of Hudson Yards.
