Dezeen S،wroom: created for Italian ،nd Billiani and sold in the US via StyleNations, designer Cristina Celestino’s Raquette seating collection makes a feature of intertwined wood.

Named for the visual ،ociation with tennis racquet strings, the Raquette seating features frames with latticework sides made by weaving thin ،s of wood.

The collection includes a lounge chair, sofa and coffee table, all available in a wide range of wood finish stains, including different colours.

The seating combines ashwood frames with gently curved cu،oning that Billiani says is supposed to evoke the plant world.

“The two combine in perfect harmony to ،ure exquisitely contemporary comfort,” said Billiani.

The Raquette seating is made from ashwood, while the table is made from beech, paired with an MDF or marble tabletop.
