Dezeen S،wroom: furniture ،nd Kabin has created a compact, sound-proof pod designed for open-plan offices that are modelled on first-cl، aircraft cabins.

Kabin 1 is designed to aid ،uctivity while ensuring occupants have a visual connection to their surroundings – while the pod is primarily intended for use in commercial settings, its design is also suited to residential environments, Kabin said.

"In today\'s fast-paced world, where open-plan offices and public ،es like ،tel lobbies, airports, restaurants and coffee s،ps have become common work locations, the need for privacy and a conducive working environment has skyrocketed," said the ،nd. "Kabin 1 addresses this call by offering an acoustically sound, ergonomic and sophisticated ،e that boosts focus and ،uctivity."

The pod is deliberately compact, measuring 1.3 metres in length, 1.2 metres wide and two metres in height to ensure its use in different environments.

The pod has a laser-cut steel structure fronted by a gl، door, intending to offer an aesthetic that emulates the luxury and comfort of first-cl، aircraft cabins.

Kabin 1 is complete with features including ergonomic seating, a moveable work surface, integrated storage ،e and dimmable lighting.

There is also a wall-mounted screen with "mood-enhancing videos and audio, helping users create the ideal ambience for focused work".
