British studio Broadway Malyan’s redevelopment of Lime Street in Liverpool has been announced as the winner of this year’s Carbuncle Cup, which judged buildings completed since the cup was last held in 2018.

The Lime Street design, which Carbuncle Cup ،iser The Fence called a “hideous bit of architectural misadventure”, includes etched metal panels that adorn one facade along the street leading from Liverpool Lime Street train station.
